- Eligibility: The “Metro Winter Olympics Mikael Kingsbury Contest” (the "contest") is open to residents of Ontario and Quebec who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry - except the employees, officers, directors, representatives and agents of Coca‑Cola Ltd., Coca‑Cola Canada Bottling Limited, The Coca‑Cola Company, Metro Richelieu Inc. (Metro), LPi Communications Group Inc. and Elite Digital Inc. (collectively, the (“Administrators”), the authorized bottlers or distributors of Coca‑Cola® products, and each of their respective advertising and promotion agencies, or any of the respective parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, related entities, successors or assigns or persons domiciled with any of the above or a member of any such employee’s immediate family (regardless of where they live). The contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal, laws and regulations and is void outside of Ontario and Quebec and where prohibited.

Elite Digital Inc., 5511 Steeles Ave. West, Suite 200, Toronto, ON, M9L 1S7 - Agreement to Official Rules: By participating in the contest, entrant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsors and Administrators, which are final and binding in all matters related to the contest.
- Promotion Period: The contest begins at 12:00:00 am Eastern Standard Time ("EST") January 29, 2026 and ends at 11:59:59 pm EST February 25, 2026 (the "Promotion Period"). The contest Administrators’ computer is the official time-keeping device for this contest.
- How to Enter: Visit participating Metro, Metro Plus, Super C, and Food Basics locations and scan the contest QR Code on display. Next, enter the requested information. If you are eligible, you will receive one (1) entry into the contest. Wireless service provider’s data rates apply. Entrants should consult their wireless service provider’s pricing plan for details. You agree to incur any and all charges demanded by your wireless carrier. The device that is used must be capable of scanning a QR code. Entrants should check their device’s features to see if they have that capability and check the device manual for specific use instructions. Entry via QR Code may be limited and may not be available through all wireless carriers or on all handsets. Carriers vary by region.
Alternatively, to obtain one (1) entry in the contest without visiting a participating Metro store, print your first name, last name, telephone number, complete mailing address (including postal code) and mail it (in an envelope with sufficient Canadian postage) along with a 25 word or more unique and original essay (the “Essay”) on “Metro Winter Olympics Mikael Kingsbury Contest” to: LPi Communications., 245 Yorkland Blvd, Suite 305, Toronto, ON M2J 4W9 (a “Request”). Upon receipt of a valid Request submitted and received in accordance with these Official Rules, you will be eligible to receive one (1) entry in the contest. To be eligible, any Request you submit must: (i) be received separately in an envelope bearing sufficient Canadian postage (i.e. multiple Requests in the same envelope will be void); and (ii) be post-marked during the Promotion Period and received prior to February 27, 2026.
Limit: Only one (1) entry per person per day (defined for the purposes of these Official Rules as 12:00:00 a.m. ET to 11:59:59 p.m. ET) during the Promotion Period, regardless of the method of entry. Multiple participants are not permitted to share the same mobile number or email address or device. Any attempt by any participant to obtain more than 1 entry per day (as defined above) by using multiple/different mobile numbers, email addresses, devices, identities, registrations or logins, or any other methods will void that participant’s entries and that participant may be disqualified from the contest. Any use of robotic, repetitive, automatic, programmed or similar entry methods or agents (including, but not limited to, contest entry services) will void all entries by that entrant. In the event of a dispute as to any entry, the authorized account holder of the device or email address used to enter will be deemed to be the entrant. The “authorized account holder” is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. Otherwise, the “authorized account holder” of a device is the natural person in whose name the device has been issued and the services are billed. A potential winner may be required to show proof of being an authorized account holder. Personal information submitted will be used for the purpose of administration of the contest. - Requirements of Potential Winner: Potential winner must comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules. Winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. The potential winner will be required to correctly answer a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question without any assistance in order to be eligible to receive the Grand Prize. In addition, the potential winner will be required to sign and return to Administrators, within 96 hours of the date notice or attempted notice is sent, a Declaration of Compliance, Liability & Publicity Release (“Declaration”) in order to claim their prize and to fulfill any such other requirements as determined by Administrators. If the potential winner fails to do so, they may be disqualified and forfeit the Grand Prize. In the event the potential winner is a minor, the prize will be deemed forfeited. In the event that the potential winner forfeits the prize, fails to answer the skill-testing question correctly, or is disqualified for any reason, another potential winner may, in the sole discretion of the Sponsors and time-permitting, be randomly drawn from eligible entries received in accordance with these Official Rules. Upon verification of the eligible winner’s Declaration and their answer to the skill-testing question, winner will be contacted by Administrators regarding fulfillment of the Grand Prize within sixty (60) business days.
- Odds of Winning: Odds of winning are dependent on the number of eligible entries received. A random draw for the Grand Prize will occur on or after February 27, 2026. Within twenty (20) business days of the draw, between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., a representative of the Sponsors will attempt to contact the selected entrant at the mobile number or email address listed on their entry form.
- Grand Prize: There is one (1) Grand Prize available to won. The Grand Prize consists of: (a) one (1) skiing experience with Mikael Kingsbury in Whistler, BC, Canada, for winner and one (1) guest (the Guest); (b) round-trip, economy class airfare tickets for the Grand Prize Winner and their one (1) guest from a major airport near the Grand Prize Winner’s residence in Ontario or Quebec (as selected by Sponsors in their sole discretion) to Whistler, BC; (c) two (2) nights’ standard hotel accommodations (based on double occupancy); and (d) two thousand Canadian dollars in spending money ($2000.00 CAD). Exact date and of skiing experience is subject to change based on athlete availability and other factors. The approximate retail value (“ARV”) of the Prize is $10,000.00 CAD.
In the event that the skiing experience or any component of the Grand Prize is cancelled, postponed, or cannot be fulfilled as planned for any reason whatsoever (including, but not limited to, athlete availability, weather conditions, travel restrictions, acts of government, public health events, or any other circumstances beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control), the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute the affected portion or the entirety of the Grand Prize with a cash payment. The cash payment shall not exceed the ARV of the Grand Prize, as determined by the Sponsor.
The ARV of the Grand Prize may vary depending on Grand Prize winner’s residence, market conditions, changes in value of components (e.g., air transportation and hotel rates) and other reasons. Sponsors are not responsible for, and the Grand Prize winner and their guest will not receive, the difference between the actual value of the Grand Prize at the time of award and the stated ARV in these Official Rules or in any Promotion-related correspondence or materials. Specific travel arrangements and all Grand Prize details not specified herein will be made and determined in Sponsors’ sole discretion. Travel must originate from and end at the same airport. It is the Grand Prize winner’s and their guest’s sole responsibility to comply with all travel requirements, which may include, without limitation, presenting necessary identification/documentation at the time of travel. Flight schedules are subject to change without notice. Sponsors are not liable for any missed Grand Prize events, opportunities or expenses incurred as a consequence of flight cancellation/delay or any other reason. Neither the confirmed winner nor their guest nor any other person or entity will be compensated in the event of such delay, cancellation or other event contemplated herein. Grand Prize winner will be required to provide a credit card at time of accommodation check-in to cover incidentals. Grand Prize winner’s guest must: (i) be eighteen (18) years of age or older prior to participating in the Grand Prize; and (ii) sign and return the Sponsors’ release (by the date indicated on the release form) indicating that they waive all recourse against the Sponsor and all of the other Released Parties (as defined below) relating to their participation in the Grand Prize (including, without limitation, any travel related thereto).
IMPORTANT NOTE: ANY AND ALL OTHER COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE PRIZE WILL BE THE SOLE AND ABSOLUTE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER. NONE OF THE RELEASED PARTIES, NOR ANY OTHER ENTITY, WILL BE PROVIDING ANY COMPENSATION WHATSOEVER WITH RESPECT TO ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE PRIZE. FOR GREATER CERTAINTY AND THE AVOIDANCE OF ANY DOUBT WHATSOEVER, THE GRAND PRIZE INCLUDES ONLY THOSE SPECIFIC ELEMENTS EXPRESSLY OUTLINED ABOVE IN THESE OFFICIAL RULES.
The Prize and its components must be accepted as awarded and, except as otherwise expressly indicated by the Sponsors, cannot be transferred, substituted, or exchanged, in whole or in part, for another prize or money.
The Sponsors, in their sole discretion, reserve the right to: (i) substitute all or any portion of the Prize with another prize or portion thereof of equal or greater value; and (ii) modify the Prize, associated quantities and award schedule at any time during the Promotion. Under no circumstances will the Sponsors be responsible for awarding and/or redeeming any items in excess of the Prizes and its respective quantity as listed above. Prize may be subject to additional terms and conditions.
Winner and winner’s guest must abide by all venue policies. Sponsors reserve the right to revoke the full or partial Prize from any winner or winner’s guest who Sponsors or venue personnel deem in their sole discretion may be intoxicated, be a safety or health risk, have violated any venue policy or law, or bring the Sponsors into disrepute.
Participation in the Grand Prize must occur within and/or on or before the date or dates specified by the Sponsors (otherwise the Grand Prize may, in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsors, be forfeited in its entirety and, if forfeited, nothing will be substituted in its place).
If the confirmed Grand Prize winner and/or their guest do not utilize any part(s) of the Grand Prize, then any such part(s) not utilized may, in the sole discretion of the Sponsors, be forfeited in their entirety and, if forfeited, nothing will be substituted in their place.
None of the Released Parties (as defined below) makes any representation or offers any warranty, express or implied, as to the quality or fitness of the Grand Prize awarded in connection with the Contest. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Grand Prize winner (and their guest) understands and acknowledges that they may not seek reimbursement or pursue any legal or equitable remedy from either the Sponsors or any of the other Released Parties should the Grand Prize fail to be fit for its purpose or is in any way unsatisfactory. - Publicity: Except where prohibited, participation in the contest constitutes entrant’s consent for Sponsors and their designees to use entrant’s name, prize information, likeness, and place of residence for promotional purposes in any media without further notice or consideration.
- General Conditions: In the event that the operation, security, or administration of the contest is impaired in any way for any reason, including, but, not limited to, fraud, virus or other technical problem, the Sponsors may, in their sole discretion, either: (a) suspend the contest to address the impairment and then resume the contest in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules; or (b) cancel the contest and award the Grand Prize in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment. The Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the contest or to be acting in violation of the Official Rules of this or any other promotion, or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to undermine the legitimate operation of the contest may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, the Sponsors reserve the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. The Sponsors’ failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
- Release and Limitations of Liability: Except where prohibited, by participating in the contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the employees, officers, directors, representatives and agents of Coca‑Cola Ltd, Coca‑Cola Canada Bottling Limited, The Coca‑Cola Company, Metro, LPi, Elite Digital Inc., Mikael Kingsbury, the authorized bottlers or distributors of Coca‑Cola® products, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, promotional partners, prize partner, agents and agencies, and the officers, directors and employees of them (the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the contest or receipt or use of any prize, including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the contest; (b) technical errors related to computers, servers, providers, printers or telephone, cellular networks, or network lines; (c) printing errors; (d) errors in the administration of the contest or the processing of entries; (e) late, lost, or undeliverable mail; or (f) injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the contest or receipt, use or misuse of any prize. Entrant further agrees that in any cause of action, the Released Parties’ liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the contest and in no event shall the Released Parties be liable for attorney’s fees. Entrant waives the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages. If for any reason an entrant’s entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost, or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, entrant’s sole remedy is another entry, if it is possible. If the contest, or any part of it, is discontinued for any reason, Sponsors, in their sole discretion, may elect to hold a random drawing from among all eligible entries received up to the date of discontinuance for any prize offered herein. No more than the stated number of prizes will be awarded. In the event that production, technical, seeding, programming or any other reasons cause more than the stated number of prizes as set forth herein to be available and/or claimed, Sponsors reserve the right to award only the stated number of prizes by a random drawing among all legitimate, un-awarded, eligible prize claims.
- Dispute Resolution: Entrant agrees that, to the fullest extent permitted by law: (i) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this contest, or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the Courts of Ontario, Canada; (ii) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this contest but in no event legal fees or disbursements; and (iii) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsors in connection with the contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Province of Ontario, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the Province of Ontario or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the Province of Ontario.
